In afterlife you dont recieve powerups, but you can grab them, similar to being downed. However being revived will stop the meter from depleting, which can be used to significantly prolong the time left if there is another player free to repeatedly chain revives and never finishing. Afterlife is limited to around one minute, after that you just die and need to be revived. In Co-op a zombie can be teleported to doorways so they can block teammates, thats why it is not spart to zap as much zombies as possible. When you zap zombies in afterlife, they will get teleported to a random location, you don't kill them. In afterlife you won't be attacked by zombies.
When you don't have any afterlife remaining you just die and other players have to revive you, in solo it's game over. When playing Solo you get three (max), and in Co-op you get one (max). In Afterlife you can reach new places, power things, zap zombies and revive yourself. You get in afterlife by dieing, and by using a voltage panel, though when using a voltage panel you will not lose your perks, and it will not count as a down. With that being said, this map is as close to the original as I could get it, you can play solo, or with friends, just expect problems with more than four people, as there are only four player spawns in the map.Afterlife is the new mode in MotD. I spent nearly five hours building the map while playing the original at the same time to be sure I was accurate in wall buys, to doors, zombie spawns, and point cost for all of the doors and weapons. The map Mob of the Dead has been remade to the best of my ability with the original map specifically in mind, while the map lacks the original plane building main quest, shield parts, and acid gat parts, it retains the same gameplay and feel.
